Gymshark sports clothing

Categories: Fashion and Textile

Gymshark were formed in 2012 and were named Britain’s fastest-growing company by the Sunday Times Fast Track in 2016

As a new company starting out, one of the biggest hurdles for Gymshark was finding a cost effective and reliable means by which to import their unique style of sports clothing from manufacturers in the Far East.

Gymshark’s CEO invited Seacon UK to review the company’s methods and to find ways to improve their logistical interface between their supplier and warehouse.

Seacon’s project team quickly got to work examining how orders were placed, what ‘Terms of Shipment’ goods were being purchased and which method of transportation was being used. Working closely with the goods inward team at Gymshark, Seacon UK quickly found several ways to improve the time scale from order to dispatch.

Improvements in the speed and flow of goods from the Far East into Gymshark’s warehouse enabled the company to meet an ever growing demand for their products, which in turn helped the company to grow into the recognised and respected brand it has become today.

Steve Hewitt CEO Gymshark
“Seacon UK came on board with Gymshark at an early but critical stage of the company’s growth. The Seacon guys very quickly started working with our suppliers, developing systems for arranging freight and managing the incoming stock levels, which allowed us to focus attention on our own growth.  Seacon also managed all of our exhibition and pop up shop events, the freight side of those projects we never had to worry about, we just knew it would be there!”
